Cd player in car turns itself off!

I had the same problem when fitting a friends head unit. The cure was to change the ignition wire, with the constant. In other words the red wire and the yellow wire need to be swapped round the back. These should be easy to find as they will have their own connectors.

Same thing happened as yours, it would just turn off after it was turned up beyond a certain volume. Hope this helps.

whatleytom thats great thanks man , it's currently connected via the ignition rather than the constant... Will give it a go tomorrow :)
