Hi...

Can anyone recommend some decent software to convert music CDs to MP3s (with CDDB support)?

I use to use Audiograbber a while back but would like to know if there is anything newer and better available, preferably free?

I want to use the software to convert CDs to put on my phone (Sony Ericsson W900i). There is software that comes with the phone, but only seems to let you rip directly to the phone (or memorycard) and not to the PC first. I'd prefer to rip to the PC and then select what I want afterwads to transfer to the phone.

Thanks :)

dont mean to hijack your thread mate but as its related hope you dont mind me writing this here:

basically i have loads of tracks on a cd i want to put them on my pc but when i go to copy and paste although it pastes the tracks i cant play them back....why?

what do I need to make this possible?

I dont want to convert them to mp3 at this stage however if your answer could cover that option i..e suggest some software that would do it whilst enabling me to save the tracks to my desktop so I dont have to use the cd that would be great...

they are not commerical cds just tracks a mate recorded live whilst doing his promo cd....

thanks in advance...

cheers!!!

well if you don't want to encode to mp3, then rip the songs on the cd to wav. that way you get a perfect copy of what's on the cd. remeber of course this takes the most space so you'll be looking at 750mb per cd. use eac or cdex as mentioned above. :)
