CD Ripping Software

Im ripping my CDs again as FLAC, to replace the crappy bitrate mp3s i have atm

What software do you recommend ? I read somewhere this is more important than the bitrate as to quality.

Any pointers ?

they all do a gfreat job. if youve got some scratched cd's, EAC is the best

EAC is the best overall.

CDex hides any LAME encoder errors that occur (sometimes a lot). (should you be using MP3 of course

)

I use Nero lol. I use it to both burn Music and DVD's. Its quite fast for me and gets the job done, so i am quite happy with it

Definitely EAC, makes ripping to .FLAC a breeze.

whats wrong with Windows Media Player, just go in and change the settings to MP3 and up the bitrate instead of WMA

the encoder isnt as good as the latest lame, and the ripper isnt as good as eac. for an all in one solution its very good, really. but with practically all all in one solutions, you can do better
