I'm looking for something to lock my DVD ROM by disabling the eject button. This is to prevent my toddler from constantly opening and closing and looking over at me and laughing.

It seems there was software called CDLock, but Googling it throws up some unsavoury looking sources.

Running Win10.

Haven't had to do this for a while, but I did try this free program many years ago. According to website works with win 10.

Just download the free edition. Bit odd how it works you double left click on shortcut and it opens a Lock My PC icon on the taskbar, right click on the icon and up pops menu to set password, change settings etc.

To lock cd drive just left click on Lock CD-doors (drives will be locked even through my computer) but its easy to unlock, click on Unlock CD-doors.

Not sure if you wanted to disable cd drive as well as button but this is the only way I know to stop the button from opening the drive.

Please note some of the other programs by the same company have a box ticked (you can untick it) to install AOL assist pc scanner as well. Lock My PC however does not I installed it to check for bundled **** or free stuff you don't want.

Do you actually still use it on a regular basis? - if not then surely just unplug the power cable.

That's my current solution, although I do use it occasionally so a software solution could save me some hassle.
