CDs & DVDs Printing Software

I recently purchased a really nice HP Printer, which I now want to use a print labels onto CD & DVDs.

As I am new to this I am not sure how this works; is there an application which I should use, which possibly has the CD & DVD size preformatted with sample labels etc.

If there is can you please suggest some examples and I wouldn’t mind purchasing the software or could I simply use something like Nero.

Did you not get software with your HP printer to do this with?

I use DVD Cover Gold, doesn't cost much either.
