Electrical thread incoming. Can someone check this for me please :).

Will be installing a Hunter Industrie II ceiling fan tomorrow. I wont be needing a switch for it as we bought the remote control so its a simple case of running a cable from a known junction box on the lighting ring and breaking it over a double pole fused spur. My questions are this;

A. Fused spur rating?. The fan is 80W, there's no light fittings to it, so 80W/230v = 0.35A so I'm thinking a single 3A double poled fused spur will be fine, am I correct ?

B. Wire size, existing lighting ring is IIRC (I will check) 1.5mm which is good for 13A.

Have I not considered anything else ?

Thanks matey :)

The actual fan comes with an on off 3 speed + reverse speed setting control unit / switch or you can use an IR remote unit instead (receiver is fitted into the cowl of the fan). We bought the IR unit.

Build quality of the hunter is exceptional, the fixing mechanism is a work of genius. The motor is hung from a ball joint so it self levels, the fixing plate is separated from the ceiling by rubber cushions, all of which result in a completely silent fan. Its huge at 52" so even on slow its amazing on a hot night.

Should be considering the cost of them, fitted one, a few years ago, it had blades about 65" from tip to tip.
But, what surprised me with it,there was no vibration when running, totally quiet.:eek:
