OK so wondering if anyone can help me.

I have not touched the lights in our house (dining room/Lounge and my bedroom) since we moved in.

They use the following bulbs: https://www.screwfix.com/p/diall-r7s-linear-halogen-light-bulb-4650lm-230w-118mm-3-pack/5874k#_=p - which no doubt is a reason why my electric is quite high!

I want to look at replacing with an LED alternative or something that densest cost as much to run.

Would it be best to replace the 3x light fittings? or can you get LED alternatives that fit my super old school lights?

The rest of my house is fitted with G10 LED spot lights, but the 3 rooms listed i would like to keep a similar single light fitting but not compromise on brightness - as the ones we use at the moment are nice and bright.

Any suggestions and thanks in advance.

There are LED replacements shown on the page you linked.

No idea how well they work.

They have a lower lumen output so won't be as bright assuming the op's lights are 230 watt .

Op: What wattage are the lamps you currently have fitted?

Edit: If your taking them out to check the wattage the remember you can't touch halogen bulbs with your bare hands.

240W? The bulbs i currently have fitted are the ones i linked.

Im just not sure if its worth 3x replacelemt LED R7s vs new lights and a bigger range of bulbs to choose from?

Im not sure the LED variants of the R7s will be bright enough? I guess the only way is to try one?
