I'm planning on putting some ceiling speakers in two rooms.
One is L shaped. With the bottom left corner being a kitchen and the top of the L being a snug space where there would be a TV. I'm not sure how stereo speakers would work in this setup I think a proper stereo experience would only be required in the snug.
The left part of the L is about 3m wide and 7m long and the bottom horizontal part is 4m long by 7m wide. So 11m long total.
Separately we have a living room about 5m by 4m where I would likely want stereo speakers.
In the spaces where there are TVs I'd like to be able to run the TV's through the speakers but then other times play music through them. I currently have Chromecast audio's and find the multiroom feature great and casting from phones extremely simple. I don't know whether there's an equivalent product? Ideally it would dynamically play audio from whatever was outputting sound without having to faf around with switch signals.
I'm not a big fan of Bluetooth as I find it very flaky for connecting with multiple devices and requires line of site. I also don't like sonas, it's overpriced and their app just adds an unecessary layer.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
