Celebrities in Video Games

Hey guys,

I'm currently researching an article about celebrities that appear in games. I need to fulfill this kind of title: "Top 10 Greatest Celebrity Appearances in Gaming" so I'm looking for the most interesting, famous or downright stunning celebrity gaming roles.


Possibilities in no particular order:

Mark Hammill - Wing Commander
Kristen Bell - Assassin's Creed
Tim Curry - Red Alert 3
Samuel L Jackson - GTA: SA
Ray Liotta - GTA: Vice City
Lance Henrikson - CoD: MW2
I'll probably do a single entry (!) for the four tasty RA3 girls: Gemma Atkinson, Jenny McCarthy, Kelly Hu, Gina Carano.


Some I need help with are below (I haven't played these games so don't know who would be the 'main' or oustanding actor would be):

Ed Harris, Gary Oldman, Ice Cube in Black Ops (anyone know which one was the main actor?)
Fallout New Vegas - Matthew Perry, Krist Kristofferson, Ron Perlman (was Perlman the main guy?)
Fable 3 - Ben Kingsley, John Cleese, Simon Pegg, Bernard Hill, Stephen Fry (again, got to choose one).

Keith David as Anderson in Mass Effect and the Arbiter in Halo 3
Ron Perlman as Lord Hood in Halo 3
Liam Neeson as your father in Fallout 3

Other examples are great: especially if you think I've missed a really famous or awesome one!

Sorry if it's confusing. I need to fulfill this kind of title: "Top 10 Greatest Celebrity Appearances in Gaming" so I'm looking for the most interesting, famous or downright stunning celebrity gaming roles. I'll add this to the OP to make it clearer.

Michael Clarke Duncan: Benjamin King
Keith David: Julius

This would be a very long article. "Celebrities" do a lot more voice acting than you think. Perfect example is Mark Hamill. Did you know he voices the joker?
 
Patrick Stewart was the voice of the emperor in Oblivion.
Anna Gunn was the voice of Ariel in Soul reaver 1 and 2. (She plays the wife in breaking bad)
And others that I can't think of just now. :p
 
People from lost and BSG are in the command and conquer 3 cut scenes :p (not exactly major celebrities though)

Well a lot listed so far are barely bit parts. Like Sam L in GTA sounds win, but you what, see him like 3-4 times throughout for 20 seconds at a time?

I would focus on those that truly tied the entire game together, were completely integral to your playing experience. Not those that come in as a token "oh it's <insert celeb>!" for 10 seconds out of the 10 hours of play.

Leonard Nimoy in CiV 4 was just amazing, didn't matter how many times you researched pottery, you listened to his quote ^^

its just another job now for them, much like voicing an animated movie character

its become mainstream as the production values of games has increased

wasnt Sam worthington in black ops? along with Ed Harris and Gary oldman..three very respected actors, not what I would call celebrities

as actors its become just another acting role, not a job for a 'celebrity'
