Celeron M to Pentium M possible?

Ive got a Tecra A3 laptop which has the SL86J 1.5Ghz 400Mhz Celeron processor in it Dothian core Micro-FCPGA package.

I'd like to stick a pentium M processor in it.

SOME Tecra's come with not only Pentium's but also 533Mhz Pentiums.
What I'd like to know is specifically which processors can I replace to make it run a lot faster.

I could put a 400Mhz 1.7 Pentium 400Mhz in it and it should work I think
then I have the option to pin mod it

However is it possible to just replace the 400Mhz processor with a 533Mhz processor in that model?

And if so whats the best processor to contemplate trying to get?

Ideally the 2.26Ghz SL7VB 533Mhz cpu would be nice,
as would the 2.1Ghz SL7V3 cpu 400Mhz cpu
especially if that could then have the pin mod done to clock it at 533Mhz making it 2.8Mhz which would be a brilliant upgrade from a 1.5Mhz Celeron

However I doubt if those would work - unless someone knows better?
Ideas anyone please?

i dont think the pin mod would work on a laptop
also if you have a 1.5ghz, i cant see you running as high as 2.26Ghz because of heat problems, thats even if the laptop will let you go that high
laptops arent as easy or straight forward to upgrade like desktop PC are

Pinmod for pentium M processors
these are MAINLY used in laptops are they not?
Yes I know about the extra heat problems, and if need be I can lower the voltage on the cpu to help counteract that and possibly change the fan for a slightly higher power one, as well as using good thermal paste and adding extra copper for a heatsink.
What i need to know though is if it will work or not on that board.
and if so whats the highest speed cpu I can probably use, or whats the best one to use and will a 533Mhz one work, or am I stuck with a 400Mhz one?

you will me very lucky if you find a better fan that will fit on a laptop and i cant see you being able to add more heatsink too.
i`d be very surprised if if the 533mhz worked in your laptop , but you never know i guess.
get one and see, if it doesn't sell it on the bay.
thats what i did with my old 800mhz laptop, i got a 1ghz pentium cpu and it only showed up as a 700mhz(because of the stepping on the cpu) set it back and got a 1.1ghz cpu and it ran at 1.1ghz (because the locked stepping was right), so sometimes its suck it and see.
