high guys, quick info are the celeron m processors any good for laptops ? i am looking for cheap laptop for light work and browsing :)

Celeron M is basically re-batched Banias Pentium-M, used in the very first generation of Centrino. It is more than enough for normal use and maybe light games but don't expect great things from them.

Theres also Dothan based Celeron M cpus.

We have a laptop with a Celeron M and it's good for the net and word docs etc but like others have said it's not good for gaming.

Nice CPU you got there :)

For anyone reading the thread - the Celeron Ms do NOT have power-saving tech. They run at full-speed & voltage 100% of the time. The CPU itself is pretty low power, but if you're using general office apps the Pentium/Core series will give you a longer battery life.
