65nm p4 based 1s are great clockers, the celeron m's have always been fast other than that, pretty much down hill

they still are rubbish, at 3.1ghz tho... there not as rubbish, a 2.5 dothan would still whoop it im sure, but for a celeron, thats some power!

nope - a 3 gig dothan gets about 24 seconds pi 1mb 1:1 bh-5 at tight timings

maybe it is then :\ i thought the dothans would do a lot more calcs per second if they were similar speeds

there basically the same apart from the new 1 has some slight core revisions and is 65nm, so kinda cancels out any difference, and then when you factor in the yonah was running 975x and the dothan only 875 and the extra bandwidth from ddr2...

On the second page he clocks it to 3.23GHz and gets a 20 second 1MB PI!

That's quite something for any CPU, let alone a Celeron! These new Core chips are shaping up to be something special!

He's got a CPU-Z shot of it at 3.34GHz but no Super PI for this speed
