Celldweller

Celldweller is the versatile outlet of the artist, performer, producer, songwriter, programmer, and remixer Klayton - began as a producer pseudonym in the early 90’s. Now, over a decade later, Klayton (born Scott Albert) uses the name to deliver his vision of progressively combining multiple genres of music. Taking a unique approach to mixing styles, Celldweller fuses the electronics of drum & bass and techno, with rock and orchestral elements, meshing the synthetic and the organic, darkness with beauty, into a cohesive blend entirely its own.

Klayton has made several tracks available for free here with a brief intro. The tracks are a mixture of album tracks from their first album/remixes by other artists and newer tracks. Just sign up for a free account and enjoy the music.

Blue Stahli

Described as a schizophrenic collision of noisy guitars, edgy electronics and sensual vocals that form the bipolar soundtrack to underground dancefloor lust and aftermath. Blue Stahli is something bigger than just zeros and ones on your iPod, something more real – Blue Stahli is the escape…

Blue Stahli has released his debut album Antisleep Vol. 1 for free download at the Fixt music store (the record company owned by Klayton from Celldweller). Just sign up for a free account and enjoy the music. Each track has a brief intro but its not very intrusive. Album available here

Celldweller is one of my favorite artists and I just discovered Blue Stahli today and thought I should share the wealth :)

A bump because Klayton has made the majority of his new album available for free download :)

Soundtrack For The Voices In My Head Vol. 01

Klayton has been writing an entire album of instrumental music for Film/TV/Video Games (as well as for all you DJs, Fans & Critics), simultaneously as he has been writing the new Celldweller sophomore album. He recently decided that he had amassed enough content for this project to give it a name and share it with the rest of us. The album is entitled Soundtrack For The Voices In My Head Vol. 01, and is primarily instrumental and score based, showing a progression of Klayton’s vision for Film/TV/Video Game/Movie Trailer music scoring and licensing. The release has been produced, written, recorded and mixed by Klayton, with the guest orchestration talent of composer Tom Salta (Atlas Plug) on the track “Ursa Minor.”

The album will also include a few bonus versions of “Birthright” from the upcoming Celldweller sophomore release, including the "Instrumental Trailer Mix" which features the orchestration and choir of film composer James Dooley. The "Birthright (Instrumental Trailer Mix)" is the version that was recently featured in the "Speed Racer" trailer and "Iron Man" TV spots. Klayton will also release the original demo of the song formerly known as "Baseline," which was licensed for the "Spider-man 3" and "The Last Legion" TV spots. The full progression of the song will be heard when the final version is released on the next Celldweller full-length album.

With Klayton’s signature writing and production style, coupled with his wide variety of instruments and sounds, the Soundtrack For The Voices In My Head series is ready to leave a trail of melodies and progressions in every listener’s head, long after the music has stopped.

You can check out the tracks "Through the Gates," "Outland" & "Solaris" (recently featured in a Movie Trailer for Frank Miller's The Spirit) now at http://www.Myspace.com/Celldweller along with a Video Blog of Klayton in the studio mixing "Through The Gates" and explaining more about the full project.

Well sort of, they don't link to the full albums any more but they do link to some free tracks from the both of them (along with some other artists also available on the Fixt Store)

Where were you all when I first posted this thread? :p

I love this, Bret did a acoustic version of his track 'Scrape' It's brilliant:

I love the line "I'd burn it all just to light your eyes" :)

Shameless bump as Celdweller has just released his FIRST EVER music video! (well not quite but he did one a long time ago that was very low budget and is best forgotten)

Lol, Celldweller is far more talented than Pendulum. His material covers a much wider range of genres and sounds. He even remixed a Pendulum track and made it a lot better :p

Going to bump this - has any news of Vol 5 actually seen the day light? Amazon does list each album as part of a 5 volume series but Klayton's website doesn't appear to show anything :(

Edit: On a side note, if you haven't bought anything by mr Klayton now is the perfect time. His first album is now available for $1.99 on fixtstore.com. Absolute bargain and a must have imo.

Ah well, I'll just download chapters 1-4 now - lived on nothing but 'Celldweller' for the past few years, time for some variety :). Is Cellout another album Klayton is breaking down into chapters or is it yet an album of remixes?
