I have it working on a ds3 mobo. Its at 800MHz but if i increase that my system doesnt boot. The Voltage is at 2.2 which is the maximun spec of the ram, should i up that?

edit - updated to f8i bios, DS3 doesnt like the Micron RAM with the F7 Bios*

What's your cpu at and on which board?

e6300 and a ds3

cpu is @ 3.08GHz FSB is 450ish i think- it seems to be stable still

edit- ive been reading around and found that i have 4.4.4.12 @ 420 then slacking timings to 5-5-5-15. the 5-5-5-15 can go upto 1000MHz so im told.

5-5-5-12 isn't too great for 900Mhz. The Corsair and the Geil will often do 4-4-4-12 @900Mhz.

oK ive found the Problem.

"The other memory issue that still exists today is that most Micron D9 based memory modules will not allow the board(gigabyte ds3) to exceed a 450 FSB range when operating at a 1:1 memory ratio"

Could i change the ratio?or wait for a new bios?

There's a bit of a debate over whether or not the D9 issue can be fixed with a new BIOS or whether it's a hardware problem. Some ppl are reporting that F8i has fixed the problem and others have said that it's made no difference. But, either way, it's still in beta and has a lot of other issues that need to be fixed before it goes final (major cold boot issues in my case).

As for ratios, you can't go below 1:1 with the P965 boards. Have you been able to get over 450x7 yet?

cob, any idea when the final could be out?I heard that this isnt a problem on the DS4??
I'm at 438.0MHz @ 3.07hz nice and stable but i wasted a whole day trying to find why I couldnt get any higher!I will try and increase it later to 450MHz thats the max im told.
Shame that this is holding me back, but im over 3GHz i cant complain

It's due out this week, depending on how long it takes them to iron out the bugs.

I upgraded to the F8i bios things are running fine now!
Im at 3.3GHz FSB 470 e6300
Cellshock RAM pc6400 is running at 940 2.2v 5-5-5-15

and theres still more overclocking to be done!!temps @ 53c full load in TAT but lower in the BIOS

Has anyone done a benchmark with this memory yet because i got 5500 for si sandra but i am running it at 680mhz with stock e6600,that seems low to me i was getting that with my p4 with ddr500.
