Centipede/Millipede - XBLA

I bought this last night and it was a real blast from the past. I was a bit stuck trying to think of things to spend my points on so I downloaded the demo and memories of my misspent youth cam flooding back. I remember having to wait for nearly 10 minutes to load this game on my old Acorn Electron in the early 80's.

Still as addictive as it ever was. I sometimes wonder why I bought my 360, all I seem to do is play demos off the arcade and now Smash TV and Centipede that I bought with my points. Poor old Gears of War has had less than an hours play, perhaps I should have bought a SNES instead

Personally, I wish games like this completely flopped on XBLA and sent a very clear message to Microsoft that we want more innovative upto date games on the arcade service rather than 80s arcade ports that can all be had for free elsewhere anyway. XBLA is not fulfilling anything like its potential because of these arcade port games

But I don't want to install it on my PC and play unlicensed games. I like sitting in front of my TV thanks very much. For 400 points I'm very pleased with it, the updated graphics are nice too. I guess you can't please everybody, some people like myself like the retro games on XBLA.
