Centos & Squid question

Evening all!

I have set up squid on a server I have hosted elsewhere.
Its all locked down so only my IP address is allowed to access it, but it was my understanding that wherever I visited after that what assume the IP address of the squid box.

After playing around for a bit, I could surf happily through the box but when I visited whatismyip.com it still reported my home IP address.

Any ideas what setting I need to change so my IP is masked and the server Ip is used instead?

Using CentOS if that makes any difference. I have read a few things around the web but can't find anything :s

Cheers
M.

Even when you go through a proxy, your original IP address is still buried in the http headers, so whatsmyip.com and so on can still see it. That said, it is unusual for them to report that rather than the IP of your squid box.

I just checked and for me it gives the IP of my squid box.
