Hi,

well i got myself one of those hp micro servers :)

was going to use it as a virtual server using virtualbox. The question is which OS to run virtualbox on. I'm familar with centao and debain and never really used freebsd but it seems an extremely stable OS?

I suppose it's down to personal preferance is there any major pitfalls people are aware of with either of the os's running virtualbox?

I'm assuming debain with be the easiest to upgrade between versions?

thanks running debain and looking at phpvirtualbox

I could run ESXi but it does not support the raid (software) on the server so would require a hardware raid card.

a netinstallation of debain with virtual box comes in pretty light :) at some point i will need to get a hardware raid card but at the moment software raid wil do.

thanks
