CF 5770 to ????

Thinking of moving selling my 5770's but not sure what to swap them for?

After having nvidia gtx's for a while which where just about silent these things are just too noisy and due to the die size there are no aftermarket coolers.
I am also slightly put off by the min fps hit CF set ups get and has i play FPS this isn't good! does this also happen with sli?

Currently leaning towards a 5850? any thoughts?

I am in the same boat, got one 5770 left to sell. I sold mine not for min fps issues, but the bloody flashbang flickers!

I may just stump up for a 5870 in Feb. Once this 5770 is sold. Having said that my old GTX260 appears to be running again after re-applying new paste to the gpu.

For me I'm going to see how my GTX260 handles BC2 before I make a decision. If I was going to buy tonight I would consider the MSI/Club3D 5850 @ £225 or look into the 5870.

@OP : If you are wanting to buy now then I'd go for a single gpu / card like the 5850 or if money is no issue atm then grab a 5870. If you are willing to wait (quite a long wait really) then you can compare any refresh of the ATI tech with Fermi, when it arrives.

I am going to wait (bought the 260 just as a cheap interim card) and compare the red and green teams' offerings, hopefully by then prices should be lower. I'm doubtful about buying a dual gpu card this time round though. More than likely will grab a very high end single gpu video card.

If i was buying tonight, id consider the XFX 5850 at £211
