CF 6970-50 or CF 5870

CF 5870 seems overkill for that resolution to begin with, yet alone upgrading to the 6 series. Are you really finding that setup struggling in games?
 
Not on 1200 tho I'm getting a Hazro 27inch 1440 so was curious being that money spent on the 68s will hardly be nothing after selling stuff.

One 5870 is adequate for a 24" 1920 x 1200 monitor!
As for the 6K series it's not worth the upgrade for the extra performance gain, tbh!
 
I think the guy means he is gonna get a 27inch screen with 2560x1440 rez (I think he is currently on 1920x1200).

Tbh I'd upgrade the monitor first, then see if the CF 5870's are enough.

The 2GB of ram the HD69xx series have will certainly help at 2560x1440 rez though.
 
I'm on 1920x1200 now.

Sounds good and wise Magnum so thats what I'll do.

Might upgrade after still being only 40 quid is coming out of my pocket.
