Hi,

Currently running an 8350 @ 4.6 on a Sabertooth 990FX REV 1 with 2 HIS 7950 IceQ Boost Editions usage primarily for gaming, I am running an Eyefinity setup 6048x1080 if that makes any difference.

Would a 3570 / 3770K upgrade worthwhile, and a motherboard like a Z77 MPower?

Could probably get in the region of £200 for my current board & CPU, so it'd be a £150 ish to me.

If you are really considering switching platform, a 3570k isn't going to be worth it. I would pick a 3770k or a 3820 and overclock the bejeezes out of it.

Personally I would just stick to the current platform you are on and atleast wait for haswell to come out.

3570k although it's better for gaming would be more of a side step.

If you want more power you really need the i7 3770k or higher but would be an expensive upgrade and with haswell just round the corner wouldn't be a good time.

The early reports on the 4770k look really good so if I was you I would wait a few weeks and get one of them which should be a big step up from the 8350.

In all honesty you would not be getting a MASSIVE performance increase by changing your current system. What you have right now is very good.

I would'nt bother, you already have a decent set up. If you do decide to change platforms at least wait until Haswell and it's new socket is out.

I wouldn't be upgrading by buying something older than your original purchase (6 months older 'n all).

If anything go Haswell when it launches.
