CFM for PSU fan

Have you had a look at the official specs on the ocz site? You might find what you're looking for on there. As a guess though I'd say that probably wasn't enough, to be on the safe side.

Is it a modxstream pro by the way? I just assumed it was before going off reading so the info below might be useless. :o

rl4z s1352512hh is the model number as taken from a screenie in the Hardocp review of the 700w modxstream pro. Googling that turns up barely any links but they suggest it runs at 1800rpm.

Looking on the manufacturer's own site (Globe Fan) the closest match would appear to be the RLXXY-1402512HH shown on this page, which is 1800rpm and rated for 135.74 cfm.

Thanks Nullvoid

It is a modxstream pro. 135CFM is a LOT of air, thats why its so damn noisey (36.7db) does it really need that much air?

Im looking to make it quieter but i guesse a new PSU will be easier and cheaper.

Im looking at this, is 39CFM enough?
Hey.. It already failed HardOCP's full load hotbox test with stock fan and has some crappy Chinese cheap capacitors!
If you want to try to make it go kaboom there are other ways without endangering rest of your PC.

I think in this case it does since it's not the greatest of supplies.

As EsaT points out it failed Hardocp's torture test at 45degC, but passed at the 40degC they later found out it is rated to cope with, so I guess such a powerful fan was used to try and ensure it doesn't go beyond that limit.
