CGI Folder Files..

Hi,

Nearly finished a website but as the one I am replacing has CGI bin files I need to replace them so they link up to my contact us form page...

Wonder if someone *** clarify:

a) what are CGI Bin files?
b) How do I link them up to my contact us page
c) Can I create a folder called CGI bin files and have the relevant doc type in there which link up to my contact us page?
d) How do I create a CGI Bin file?

I would really appreciate all help

I have looked for info on the web and admittedly there is a lot.

My main problem is that I have created the contact us form page and know my ISP will host the CGI folder for me but just dont know how to connect my form to the CGI folder...

If anyone could help I would be most grateful

Its a new site there is no Perl or CGI files at all.

I thought someone could tell me how to set up the CGI files or the Perl files so my contact form would email me once someone who visits my site has clicked on the submit button

Please help

I dont have a clue about PHP or ASP or CGI....I know my hosting company will host the CGI part for me so all I needed to do was to link up the form to the CGI file but dont know where to start like :(

well its for a charity I volunteer for, its a company called Springips they are based in Arizona I believe....

I havent had anything to do with them barr uploading and downloading files from the server...

Its really frustating when you get to the end and have a problem like this stopping you from completing your project...grrrr
