Alright chaps. Bit random this but bear with me.

I'm after a new gaming chair. Currently I'm on one that I made myself, a racing car seat custom mounted onto the base of an old office chair. I do a lot of racing car games/sims so it's actually worked quite well and I've had that setup now for the last 2-3yrs. But the main downside is every time I move around or lean back it makes a creaking type / crunch noise from the base of the seat where it mounts. I think it's just a crappy base, but then my office chair as work also creaks when I lean back. That kind of thing irritates me :mad::mad::p

I'm looking probably either the Vertagear SL2000 or a Noblechair EPIC but wondered if these purpose made "gaming chairs" would make similar kind of noises/creaks? Of course I hope they would be quiet.

Also is it possible not remove the arms (or not fit them at all) as I much prefer no arms so it will go under my desk?

And the wheels, is it possible to lock them in position?

Thanks for any guidance. It's a lot of dosh to blow on a seat so want to get it right. Sadly the shop is miles away or I'd like to try first myself obviously ;)

Thank you for checking mate, much appreciated.

Going to think it over. The creaking noise is my biggest annoyance with what I have made myself. Got a feeling all the bases make some sort of noise because of all the adjustments. It's just when I lean over or get up it's quite loud lol.

I can easy change the casters over so no probs there. Suppose I could order one and see how it goes, just a hassle if I don't get on with it and want to return etc.
