How many do clubs get allocated? So stupid it goes to rich corporate nobs and a ****ing ballot to anyone
Edit - to answer, no, sucks your friends gotta pay that
Yeah, hate that someone tries to make money, disgusting, much better if only fans of the two teams involved go, no one from England can go to the game even though its in England, and well, better that the champions league has no money involved and no one bothers with it, even better.
Get over it, Liverpool spend well over 100mil in wages a year, and thats hurting them badly at the moment, the teams that actually try to win the champs league wouldn't bother if there was no money involved, and there wouldn't be money involved if they couldn't sell expensive tickets and advertising to rich people/companies. Teams spending big to win the champions league, want the money and prestige, and bonus in advertising revenue for the club, if the champions league was worth £50 a game, no one would bother, if no one bothered, it wouldn't be watched, if it wasn't watched there would be no advertising money going into the champs league, nor would teams in the champs league be able to sign bigger/better sponsorship deals.
Fans want the money, the competition, the best players in the world, but then complain that the advertisers paying the money want to go to the games they've paid through the teeth to put on.
Average Bayern fan, £105 a year season ticket, average champions league advertiser has put maybe a couple hundred million into the competition.... who actually really deserves to have more tickets? Sponsors are the fundamental reason football exists in its current form, all the current competitions and the reason we have it beyond local club level stuff at all. Shirt sponsorship, stadium sponsorship, sky pay billions for the EPL, because they charge companies for advertising, the league itself is sponsored, a huge portion of players in the higher leagues and essentially all players in the champs league have personal sponsors. Advertising/sponsorship money makes the football world work... that they get tickets to the most prestigious games is not only not surprising, it should be expected and I can't see how anyone has an issue with it.
