Group F: Manchester United - Celtic - Benfica - FC Copenhagen

Great group for the hoops. I think we could av had it much worse. Don't think we have to fear anything from those sides.
really?i think the only team that celtic wont have too much trouble with is FC Copenhagen, even then i think celtic will get a win and a draw off them. you probs get a point us Utd aswel.

I dont't think we have to fear them, though defo respect them. Obviously they will be tough games, but i think we can achieve 7pts from home games, and pick a few draws away.

just out of interest who do you think you will beat at home,fc copenhagen is quite obvious who is the other?benfica or man utd?tbh i think celtic can get 4 points at home and like you say maybe a few draws away. :)

We're normally very strong at home, 5 wins and 1 draw in the CL. Better teams than Man U and Benfica have lost at Celtic park recently.

Personally I think we're more likely to get full points at home and 1 away draw, max.

I fancy Man U at home. They are a great team in good form, but i have a feeling that we can beat them at parkhead.

who have celtic beaten at parkhead?(i do apologize,i dont really follow scottish football much, mostly just premiership)i do believe celtic may cause an upset in beating either Utd or Benfica but i cant really see celtic going to the next stage.
think it will be benfica and utd but then anything can happen like last year...

We (Celtic) had a very impressive home CL record under Martin O'Neill, we beat Juventus, Barcelona, Lyon, Porto and Valencia I think - and quite a few more big names or supposedly better teams at the time and went undefeated at home for 2 or 3 CL runs.

However we're a different team now and I have no idea how we will perform. Not bothered about Man Utd because I couldn't pick between any team from the top pot, we could have got an easier team than Benfica though. Copenhagen would appear to be a good team to get but I'm sure we can balls that up if we put the effort in.

I'm not being funny, but United will take Celtic apart home and away we arnt a johnny foreigner "dont like it up em" team coming to parkhead to be hoofed off the park with 60,000 bawling jocks screaming at us.

We can outplay celtic even on a bad day, and kick just as many lumps out of them as they can us.

I remember when we played rangers 3 or 4 seasons ago, we were really awfull and still looked comfortable.

I'm just looking forward to seeing this match with our first team squad, after how the youngsters managed in the pre-season friendly against what was basically the Celtic first XI

Fair enough, talk up your team - you're probably right about the results but you really know nothing about Celtic from your comments there.

Celtic aren't really a physical team under Strachan, he likes us to play a passing game. Your players are the ones more likely to be kicking lumps out of ours.

That was far from our first XI I'm afraid. It was a run out, practice game and has no bearing on a competitive match, I'd be saying the same if we had beaten you 3-0 as well.

Competatively we do well against English clubs, we drew twice with Liverpool with a comparatively weak team and turned them over when we had a good one. Sure, on paper your team should maul us but you're going to have to work for your points.
