I need your help badly. At work we have Champions League Prediction Competition and I want to enter it, there is money prize to be won, probably around £150-200 depending on the amount of participants. The problem is that my football knowledge is somehow minimal therefore I am going to cheat a bit and use my internet skills to find the winning teams. So far I have come with these finishing positions of each team in each group, this is part one of the competition with the winner taking 50% money in the pot.

Thanks in advance for any advice given :)

Do you recon I should change order in some of the groups below? All I need is finishing position in each group.

The list below is in finishing position order already.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I WON the first part, so I pocketed £60 as only 12 people entered the competition at work and now I can pick my winning team first :) another £60 to be won. Whoever team will get the furthest that person wins another £60.

This was quite unexpected as I was 5th at first and then 10th almost all the time until this week, where I got to 2nd place and today 1st :D :D :D

Everyone could not believe.

WHO SHOULD I PICK NEXT!!!!!

I think I will go with Barcelona as I have heard they are in good form this year.

Should I pick Chelsea or Manchester United instead?

Not with Man Uniteds defensive problems at the moment...depends on how long injuries are going to be for.

Chelsea isnt a bad bet...playing with confidence. but could get bogged down in battling with united for the premiership esp if they get injuries towards the run in at the end of the season. Plus peter cech isnt the player he was a couple of years ago and essien out now for a while with injury. but carlo anchelotti i an experience european manger...probably semis for chelsea (and united i think....and i'm a united fan!)

If your picking for the winner of the champions league and you had to pick it today...go with Barcelona, their your safest bet. My "outsider" for the champions league is inter milan....just got a funny feeling it could be Jose's year!

Thanks for your help.

Barcelona, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal, Real should all hit the latter stages (QF/SF at least)

Also, my opinion entirely, but I don't think Inter will do well this year, I don't think they're as good as any of the English sides or either of the top Spanish teams, can't see them getting past the QF's

As a surprise, I think Bordeaux and Sevilla will win a few more matches

Real Madrid have probably got the biggest squad so should make a real go of it, but they're still currently a team of individuals trying to do too much themselves. If Barca can keep their top players injury free then I would never bet against them, in Messi they have the world's best forward, and probably the world's best two midfielders in Xavi and Iniesta.
