Yup, it was awesome. Great to see upto a hundred super heroes taking down the Mega-destroids. Also very pleased with my character since they couldnt kill me at all :)
 
I got decimated, but that could be because i was hunting them out, and being the first one to find the mega, then getting rocked by all his little drone buddies :D

Yes, going at them on your own is a bad idea.

I took part in the event once and then spent the rest of the day PvP'ing in the lvl 40 matches. I have to say i had a blast with it and any concerns about passive defenses went out the window, i went in with almost a full damage spec ice based toon and was decimating people no matter what defenses they had.

I think i'll try a few other toons in there today, but it turns out that playing ice for the week paid off lol.

If any of you see a toon in the PvP matches called Genesis gimme a holler and we'll see if we can get gouped up for em.

Hits the shops on the 4th september here in the UK and 1st setember in the US and online but the servers open on Friday for the head start if you pre-ordered.
 
Anyone know if the UK/US versions have different server restrictions? Or maybe we all play on the same server? I already paid for a subscription but haven't preordered yet as I am waiting for the Steam release but I wouldn't want there to be a mix up so I end up being cut off from my friends in the US.

1 single server for the whole world, they have however split it into insatances so many instances on the same server of each zone. So far they've tried each instance holding 200 and 100, 200 was too many due to making it being difficult to get certain quests objectives when there were 10-20 people trying to get it and 100 makes each zone seem about as populated as any other game that's been around for a while. Hopefully they'll settle on somewhere in between as i like seeing plenty of people around me, even if it does mean i have to wait 5-10 minutes to pick up an object or all form a group to get it.
 
Server taken down for maintenance again. No idea how long it will last as the announcement didn't mention and the website is still down.

Anyone else planning on PvP'ing tonight once it comes back up? We should group up.
 
Ah, i think i saw The Few on the official forum. I already run a guild with 600 members over a few games such as AoC and have done for a few years, I still do so don't normally join others. However, we're making a mass move to Aion come September and i think only a couple of us are going to be playing CO so i might be looking for an invite to that clan soon as i'm looking to get back to the fun in games that i used to have in CoH a few years back. I'd never leave the guild i'm already in, just can't do that when you;re the one that makes it but they're not playing CO and i have no interest in starting over again.

Time for a break from the serious side of gaming and time for some plain old fun again ;)
