champions online

Looks ok I guess, but it's difficult to for me to get that excited about anything that Bill Roper is involved in since Failgate London. Although sometimes the official forum provides some funny threads, someone posted about wanting a lifetime subscription option and the majority of people were supportive

Also the gameplay element of secret identities opening up some new playstyles, which was about the only new feature I was looking forward to, apparently isn't going to make it in for release.

With Cryptic also working on Star Trek Online, which I can only assume will be their priority once Champions get kicked out of the dev womb into the cold unforgiving mmo market and new rumours of a Neverwinter Nights mmo in development by Cryptic I don't see Champions radically improving once it does get released.

If I remember correctly someone on the Star Trek team said that with the new engine instead of it taking 5 years to make an MMO they could do it in 2 years and most of that development was about adding content and features. So I imagine it will be supported after release if they can easily add content and features to the game.
