Change a notification sound for a specific app in Windows 10?

Hello All,

As the title is it possible to change a notification sound for a specific app in Windows 10? I've searched and microsoft seem to say it's not possible (but the article was from over a year ago) or is there a 3rd party app that will do this?

I'm working from home and can't differentiate between a work email (Outlook) whatsapp message / Facebook notification etc and it's driving me nuts!

Hi,

I don't have Outlook installed, nor do I have access to my PC for a few days, but I have done a similar workaround in the past, albeit a different program entirely. This is on the assumption that you have Outlook installed and it isn't web based.

Somewhere on your PC will be the Outlook notification sound file. Get a sound you like, make sure you rename the file/it's the same filename and type of the existing file, and replace the existing notification sound file. Usual caveat, backup the original file.
