Change a Windows 7 Networks Location Type

Hey, I recently went to a friends house and took my netbook. I connected it to their wireless access point but Windows 7 automatically set the network location to Public. I tried everything to change it to Home or Work but it wouldn't have it. There was NO change option anywhere.

How can I change it to Home so I am prepared for next time this occurs.

In network and sharing centre, you should be able to click on where it says 'public network' and then change it

That's what I originally thought but when i tried it it just showed me a list of all the networks I have connected to in the past. No options at all to change location

Yup

I accidentally set ticked the 'treat all as public' before, I was tearing my hair out with folder sharing not working

When on a Public network that just brings up a list of all the past wifi networks and did not seem to have any way of changing location type.
