Hi,
either tomorow or early next week i'm going to be ordering a new pc.
This is the spec i've thought about, but really could do with saving a bit of cash on it if possible.

What are you planning on doing with it? If its just gaming then you can swap the quad for a C2D, look at E7400 if you want to save cash (£55), that can then be clocked back up - though you will need an aftermarket cooler, something like an akasa 965 is only £12. If you're planning on adding a 2nd gfx card down the line then keep that board, if you dont think you will then a P43 will do you, the gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3L will save you £30 and is good board. Id look at a better make of HDD myself, get the 320gb Samsung Spinpoint, Im sure 320 will still suffice

it's for video editing, converting ect. gaming, general use web design and photoshop so i kinda thought quad will be better for it.
not really sure about a second graphics card yet but i probably won't be getting one as the single card can handle most of my games. i was plannig on a samsung F1 spinpoimt but it's out of stock so just put that one up there, so maybe a board with single graphics will be better.

i wouldnt say overkill more futureproof if anything but yeh im sure you would be fine running a £50 psu :)

loosing vista is the real saving, just reuse an old copy of yours ;)
