Change default install drive?

Is it possible to change the default install drive?

I have a 128GB SSD that I don't really want anything else installing on, whenever I go to install a program it automatically wants to install to C:\ but I want it to install to F:\, is there a registry setting or something I could change to make this happen or will I always have to change it manually?

Didn't work! It messed up things that I have installed on C:\ so I've had to change it back.
