anyone know if i can change difficulty in witcher on a saved game? i have just got the second quest area and although hard is so far an easy enough setting, it does take some time to kill the badies and i can't be arsed to just stand and swing the whole time.

ok witcer is really starting to get on my nerves.

the game so far has been pretty decent, some silly things in the game like not being able to jump/swim/go across a sufrace one cm higher then you are but overall it's playable, minus the bouncing boobs everywhere.

the annoying part for me is the massive amounts of cut scenes (which some reason kill my pc) and then going striahgt into a fight afterwards and not being able to save meaning if you die you got to watch the cutsecens over and over and over.

right now im trynig to kill the beast, just come out of the cave and first i have to talk to the people for a while, then when that is done watch the beasst video, then immediately i die because of the way the game loads giving the bad guys movement for like 1/2 seconds before i can move, and then spending ages loading again to watch the same cut scene over and over.

annoyingly there doesn't seem to be any cheats for this game either so atm i am stuck.

F5 is the quick key for saves. As soon as the cut scene finishes and the beast is about to appear hit F5 to quickly save the game. Stops you having to view the cut scene every time you fight the beast.
What level is your character at the moment?

tried but it would never work, i have just got past but by choosing to side with the crowd rather then the witch meaning i have a lot more people to help me fight.

i think im level 7 atm, is that high, low, average? im playing hardest difficulty (wish i hadn't) and usuing keyboard and mouse for movement

If I remember correctly I was about level 9 when I faced the beast. The extra couple of levels did make quite a difference. I'd spent talents on the strong steel attack tree. Have you missed a few quests?

turn off depth of field if you are having problems with cut scenes. greatly improves the performance in them.

If you have put enough points into Aard you can knockdown the beast and 1-shot it when it's lying on the ground defenseless :D

thanks guys for the help. i knew about the skip cutscene but i was still having to reload the game, then load the cutscene with the people and keep left clicking as i had to input my choices, and then load the next video, skip it, die, repeat.
