My OSX HD is an SSD
I have added a second HD for data

How can I change the default folder of itunes to point to a folder on the new HD?

Am I really this thick or am I jsutified in my inability to do it?

Under Preferences-->Advanced there should be an option to change the location of the media library.

Everything else is set on install.

Close iTunes. Move your entire iTunes music folder to your second drive, hold down the option key when you start iTunes and it will allow you to open a different library. Select the folder where you've put everything and you're done.

Easy :)

So when you click on ITunes on the top bar (next to the little Apple sign) do you get a drop down menu?

The only drop down menu I get is the whats up next box.
The Apple itself gives me a small player, but I have not been able to open up any form of menu or get at any preferences at all?

I have no itunes folders, I have not been able to get any music into itunes other than to drag and drop music to it to play it back.

My entire music, or rather some of my music is already on the second drive.

I have tried getting it to search for media files but it does not even bother to look on the second drive?

I will however try holding the option key when I start itunes, and see if I can select my media folder anyway regardless.

HANG ON SORRY SORRY SORRY - IDIOT ALERT

I have been so hung up on not seeing the menu in the iTunes window, that I have clearly failed to remember that the menu appears at the top doesnt it??

Its there, and all the junk that I need is all there and 2 minutes later, im seeing all my stuff etc etc.

Thanks for the help everyone... as usual with me PECKAC again eh?
