Personally, I'd be looking at the EVGA G2 and GS Series and the XFX XTR Series. The Superflower Leadex series are very good as well, but come with LEDs you can't turn off. It's a personal preference thing.
Be aware that there is a G2 550W unit, it's just that OCUK don't stock it.
The G2 Series are basically the Leadex PSUs minus LEDs and with a longer warranty. The GS Series are Seasonic units, as are the XTR Series.
Is a 550w gonna be good enough to power my system, I have a 650w at the mo but its not fully modular so have extra cables in case not being used and its not to my liking
Would personally lean towards the Superflower & probably get a cable kit too. Like said above, the 550 G2 would probably be a better choice than the 550GS, unfortunately OCUK don't stock that one.
I have an EVGA SuperNova G2 850W in my current rig.
These are very bright and are where you plug the cables in. I would personally track down a EVGA Supernova G2 550w which is basically the same psu with a different fan, no tacky leds and a longer warranty (7 years).
The lights look pretty good on the Leadex tbh. Eventually they will have an on/off switch, we've only been asking Super Flower for 2 years to implement it...
