Change Vista minimize/maximize animation

I'm just wondering if there's any way to change the minimize/maximize animation of Vista so that it uses the open/close animation instead? Maybe some registry edit?

I find the minimize/maximize animation way too slow and would much prefer the open/close one

just turn all the animation off, desktop becomes much snappier then

the worst feature introduced was animation, stupid windows 2000

Although i agree, i wouldn't mind the genie minimise just to play with for a bit before turning off

I have had the animations off since day one with Vista, but I do like the open/close one, it's just minimize/maximize that lets it down
