Change XBL gamertag

Hi guys

I've decided i don't like my gamertag in XBL anymore and want to change it, is there any way to do this or do I need to cancel my subscription and start again???

You can do it I believe in your live settings somewhere, but I think it costs 800 points or something silly like that.

Getting my 360 on Friday and wanted to do it before but if i have to wait can do so.

This is a noob question but how do I accrue the points to change it??

Either buy them via Live or from a retailer or etailer.

if you havent got your box yet

id just setup a new name leave the old one to rot and keep your 800 points

assuming you can do the above

yeah you will loose the money if you do that

800 points is £17.50

2100 points is £17

if i remember right it works out about 4 or 5 quid to change

think at the dash u press the xbox button then gamertag options iirc
