Hi All,

I have been building PCs for nearly two decades now, and from the modern onset of VGA cards I have sided with red, bar a 480Ti POS and the very excellent 8800GTX, I had the OC2 BFG one!
Up until yesterday, and the purchase of the excellent Dell 2515H IPS to replace my aging Samsung TN, I had 280X crossfire!
These cards were only just over a year old, but I felt the crossfire driver support was woeful, full WHQL support from ATi poor, it took them until the July catalyst to enable VSR for the cards! Which I felt was not good enough!
The Fury X which I anticipated, also did not deliver!
So with a heavy heart, and a much lighter wallet! I bought the Zotac AMP Extreme 980Ti, and all I can say is Wow! Card is a beast, massively OCd out the box, cool never seen it above 72oC and whisper quiet!
Maybe the green team isn't so bad after all!
Happy gaming!

Welcome to the Green side :D

I too was a red user since my return to PC's 2 years ago, having a 270, 280X, 2x290's 295x2 in the space of 12 months before moving to 2x 970's then my current 980Ti.

My reasons were very similar to you, poor driver support, general heat & noise although I managed to combat both by watercooling the 290's,
but the 295x2 was a big disapointment to me, not because of the performance, but the fact I just couldn't get it to run under 74c which was the throttling limit.

After us spending all that time at work talking about how we'd avoid the green team, we both end up on it a week apart from each other! ;)

I know mate! enjoying yours? I was, how shall I put it, patient with the reds for years, games just work now, incredible! Not a flicker in sight or the sound of the VGA fans!

Nvidia dominate the high-end right now, but AMD have a marginal lead lower down the order in my view.

Don't be a loyal consumer, brands are for cows :-)

It's brilliant. Great clocks and low temps, can't go wrong with that! Chews up everything I've thrown at it so far and no noises that sound like a fighter jet taking off!
