Hey,

I was just feeling happy and thought I'd pointlessly post about it on GD. Cus yano, that's what we do.

I have been working as a CS Teacher for the past 5 years. Loved it until my school decided what I can only presume is me not fitting in. Cue the constant battering of my self esteem, and making me feel useless and in the end causing me to become depressed. It cost them though, as my Union ripped them to shreds. hey ho.

Anyway, I was offered a job within industry working within my specialist degree subject. Earning substantially more then I would ever get as a teacher.

I go home, feeling happy and looking forward to the next day. Whereas before I was dreading the days to come and always waiting for the "Holidays" to get some respite. Which didn't really help anyway as I spent the "holidays" marking and planning for the following weeks.

So.. I'm a happy man.

Anyone else had anything good happen to them recently?

Nice, but that's only half the story! What is specialist degree subject?

Are you becoming a full-time fluffer? :p
It's a mixture of AI and Mechatronics.
Can't go into more as may find my employer looking through my past posting history. The horror
