Changed my motherboard today, to a gigabyte B550 auros elite ax v2. Put in a Rm850x psu in at the same time.I'm using a 3600 cpu

Everything is swapped over, all powering on, no display. Rechecked everything, switched on & got a display & got into the bios. Happy days. Went to install windows & it rebooted, now no display again. Tried everything I can think of, tried 1x stick ram in all different slots. Checked everything is connected okay, everything is spinning, gfx card, aio is working.

Bit strange, I had no signal, then got one & into the bios, then no signal at all now

Still no display. Any ideas folks?

out of intrest what cpu did you pop in? if you have a 5000 series did you check if the new motherboard will suport the chip out of box, i fear you may need to do a bios update, not many x570/b550 support the new cpu's unless you carry out a update with a 3000 series cpu first

Does it post ok?
Any lights or codes on the motherboard? (Check manual)
Check all connections again as last time it helped, something must be loose

Yeah, tried cmos, no luck

Just weird how I got into the bios, then no display.
Here's what's in it
3600
Gigabyte b550 aorus elite ax v2
3080 fe
16gb crucial ballistix 3600
Rm850x
WD SN550 nvme

Gpu was fine this morning, took it out of my pc before swapping boards
Don't have access to a spare I'm afraid

i'd say somthings happened to the new motherboard then, if all your componets worked on your old setup and now they dont with the new board, plus all your troubleshotting steps, start a rma and try another board or look at a diffrent manufacture, very odd problem indeed

Now, another weird issue, pc won't turn off holding the power button

Not sure what's going on tbh. Looks like back to the old mobo for now

Stripped it all back down, gfx card, cpu,psu all out & put it all back in & its now working.

What a nightmare of a day, had me stumped

Cheers for all the suggestions folks

Got windows installed, but I can only seem to boot with 1 x stick of ram in dimm3. Won't boot with it in any other slot.
No display with it in any other slot, can't boot with 2x sticks, no matter what slots there in
Both sticks work in dimm3, but no display when I put both in
Both sticks were fine this morning
