Hi, I have just upgraded my Netgear 834n to a Draytek 120 modem and Apple Airport Extreme router.

The printer in my office has now stopped working. I know its an IP problem but im a bit green on this stuff. How do I get it working again?

The printer is a Sharp MX2300N.

I have my network in the house and then I have a powerline adapter to take the internet to my office in the garage which has 2 windows 7 machines connected via a hub from the other powerline adapter. The printer is connected to the hub. Its all worked great since I changed my router set up.

Any ideas?

Thanks :)

tried searching for the printers in add printer dialogues. If it's changed IP then that will usually do the trick...

Ip range might be different you need to findout what ip address the printer has now, maybe within the arp cache of the new router?

this happened to me OP:

i was using netgear... router 192.168.0.1 is the router ip for netgear
thus my photocopier was 192.168.0.XXX

but i changed to a zyxel router who's main IP is 192.168.1.1
so i had to change my photocopier ip to 192.168.1.XXX or it wouldnt work

hope that helps.
