Changes or Suggestions?

Hi all,

This is a new system I'm looking to build. Just wanted to see different people opinions on the components I have chosen. It will be overclocked and mainly used for gaming.

*EDIT* assuming that you already have HDD, optical drive, keyboard / mouse and monitor of course.

Yeah,

I have 2 SATA II HD's and a Pioneer 111-B....I also must have about 5 keyboards knocking around - I really should throw some out!

Anyone else suggest anything different?

Get an X1950 Pro. It eats the 7900GS alive in that price range.

Wow, that's going to be a nice setup. If you can stretch the budget a bit more or change something else so it fits in budget I would also say if you're gaming a graphics card will be the most important thing (after an insanely overclocked Conroe

).

+1 the X1950 is a much better card

Not neccessarily tbh. Many games are merely CPU intensive. CSS, for example.

That said, the 1950 Pro IS the best card in that price range.
