Changes to BleachBit?

I currently use BleachBit version 3.2.0.
I stopped using CCleaner some time ago because I am not entirely happy with it.
BleachBit has been upgraded to version 4.0.0.

I do wonder whether BleachBit has been "approached" by major software developers (who make money out of data harvesting) and asked to "tone down" some of its cleaning.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what has changed and why?
Is the use of BleachBit still supported by the community?

The BleachBit changelog for v4.0.0 is here. If anything it appears to clean more now than it used to. . . .

I don't know, which is why I asked, on the off- chance that someone else might be able to offer some informed advice - so thanks again
