changing address of where my car is registered to

Hi all, a slightly silly question here:

I recently changed address. I have obtained a new license and photo id but i haven't yet changed where my car is registered to.

I've looked in my log book but i seem to have lost the relavant document (i remember using it last time i changed address).

What do i need to do? I'd like to get this sorted asap. Thanks a lot

You fill this out on the V5 itself.

I always thought the v5 was the log book?

It is and there is a little section on it that you fill in when you want to change the address of the Registered Keeper

oops, sorry guys i'm tired and confused. I've lost the form / log book thing itself. Can i simply get another one or is it a hassle?

It's not much hassle but it will cost £19. Just ring the DVLA.

If you have lost the V5 you can apply for a new one using a V62 form and change your address details at the same time, DVLA will charge you £25 for the replacement though.
