Hi there, it's very easy to change an objects colour to another colour, but how would one go about changing it to black/white. I've been trying to figgure out a way to convert this red rose to a black rose, the best I can come up with is simply a "black and white" looking photo of the rose.

Was wondering if anyone out there could have a go, and possibly share how they did it.

Any ideas?

Do you mean to have a black rose (petals) with white shadows dude?. It's impossible to have the black rose and the black background.

It can be done, with varying results, but it doesnt look very good because you lose a lot of the detail of the rose when you turn it black.

Im not sure if this is what you had in mind.

I simply ran the convert to grayscale actions to make it black and white, then inverted it to thus flip the black and white, and fiddled with the contrast.
Very simple way of doing it, i cant think of any other at the moment.

the water droplets :P I did it in word for gods sake :P
here's another one inverted no 1's colours (paint this time)

Well that's what I was thinking, as like you say the highlights would have to be white surely?

Maybe inverting, then somehow applying the hightlights to a black image, hmm....

Cheers for the efforts guys!
