I bank with Barcleys and find I have a job keeping a track of incoming and out going as the statement comes once a month. With the abby you can print a mini statement at any time to see your transactions does any body know of any other banks that are as good as the abby:confused:

Urm most offer online services which allow you to do this...

(Barcleys dont for me as i have 2 surnames without a hyphen)

Nationwide allow you to print mini statements at their cash points and RBS+Ulsterbank and Natwest do i think (those 3 owned by the same group) and they all arnt too bad either

will not go internet as do not trust it safeness

Sorry but I really really cannot abide it when people say this. My mother in law is the exact same, whenever I show her something she is looking for on eBay she says "Oh no I'm not putting my details in on the computer someone will hack in and I'll be cleared out!".

Yes, there are people who can hack in, but if you are hacked into (VERY rare possibility) then the bank will refund 100% of any lost/stolen funds.

Edit: Yes, I know I will probably be slated for this but I could not care less. This is 2008, not 1996.

In fairness, there's nothing wrong with avoiding something because you are ignorant about it.

I thought that all banks let you print of a mini statement? My HSBC account does.

The weakest link with regards to online banking is your own PC... Simple answer is to secure your machine sufficiently.

I'd find it weird if you will happily hand over your card in a petrol station, restaurant, etc... but won't use online banking.

HBOS have always been pretty good for me, apart from one incident several years back. *shrug*

Their internet banking is just as good as Abbey (I have a few accounts distributed amongst both of them).
