Hi there,

I have a Marantz 6010KI amp and the rear binding posts don't allow you to use binding posts. They are 'sealed off' and instead you have to screw the cable in. I've had a look inside but i couldn't work out which connection was what on the pcb.

Does anyone know if there is anywhere that can change them round and at what prices roughly? If it costs too much then i won't bother. It's just a bit annoying at the moment as the cable i have is quite chunky and so is difficult to screw in.

Cheers.

Oh awesome, cheers guys. I'll have to have another look once I'm back at uni as i left the amp there, but it sounds promising.

Is it a case of simply pushing the end caps till they break then?

Just prise them off with a stanley knife blade/jeweler's screwdriver.

I had this issue on a Yamaha DSP-AX620 years ago, I actually drilled away the bit of plastic covering the socket and I've been using banana plugs in there since.

Cheers guys. I think i should be able to get them off, just never knew you had to do this.

Post us a high res pic of the back, it'll give us a better idea of how it's put together.

They look identical to this: http://knol.google.com/k/-/-/5xf18bub2gtu/fth286/bungs.jpg
