I've just set up a new pc but for some reason when I created a new partition on my hard drive to install windows it has called it drive E instead of C and I can't change the drive letter within the windows "Disk Management" settings as it says it cannot be done on the boot volume.

Is there any way to change the drive letter to C? It's quite annoying.

Just had a look and you can do it in the full version of partition magic, don't know about the trial though. I thought it couldn't actually make any changes, it's just there to show what the full version can do.

yer you can there is a way but iam not sure about it, do you have a c drive? if so rename that to something else and then rename e to c, but there was a way of doing it trying to think how i did it.
