Changing from a BT Superhub- any speed difference?

I'm on a 52Mb BT fibre connection and I used to get the max 72/20 down/up speeds before I renewed the package. They sent out a new Superhub when I said the speeds had dropped and they'd confirmed (they did a few line tests) my uploaded was capable of 20Mb. But even with the new hub it is still 10.

So, is this a hardware limit they are doing and would a third party router get round this?
Cheers

You have to let the new router settle in for a week or so. The way they work is they negotiate an initial speed, then gradually negotiate upwards.

Have I read this wrong? If you have downgraded your speed to 52Mbps, then the upload should be 10Mbps shouldn't it? AFAIK on the 80/20 package offers 20Mbps uploads.

This. If you’re subscribing to a 52/10 package you’ll only get 10Mbps upload even if your line is capable of more.
