Changing from apple advice

I want to move from apple, I fancy a change and the cost of changing is far less than the apple upgrade path. I want to change both my phone and tablet.

Also I don't want to go much larger than my 4s. I'm thinking of getting a SG4 mini. Now I know little of phone specs and in the store it seemed quick enough. In real use with plenty loaded on will this at least match my 4s for speed?

Any better options?

Tablet wise I'd like something with a decent screen the size of the regular ipad and with 3g/4g. I have no idea where to start looking with android tablets

Yep I have no use for a larger phone, the small and equally as fast as my 4S is what I'm looking for. That and cheaper to replace if I break it at work.

Nexus 5 is huge if the pictures I have googled are correct. As I said I want smaller form factor not a wheelie bin lid in my pocket

Thanks I will take a look at the note. I take it Android devices are easy to back up on computer?

After a look around today I think I'm set on a Galaxy Note 10.1 and a S4 mini. Thanks for the options. None of the stores I looked in had a 4g version in though, is one coming?

Sorry my post wasn't clear, I meant 3G/4g for the tablet
